đź Grand Prix Format
"Ladies and Gentlemen, racers from every corner, prepare yourselves for the Lizard Labs - Ascent: Rivals Community Invitational Grand Prix! elite racers and bold communitiesâeach sending four champions to battle it out on the track.
In Round 1, itâs all about representing your community! Racers will be split into 4 groups (evenly Split based on number we have registered and in attendance), with one racer from each community in every group. Youâll be pushing for glory while flying the flag of your crew. But hereâs where it gets wildâsurvive Round 1, and you might just find yourself up against racers from your own community in the final showdown! Can your squad claim all the top spots, or will it be every racer for themselves in the battle for the crown?
The top four from each group in Round 1 will advance to the finalsâwhere anything goes. Fasten your harness, race hard, and may the best racer take the victory lap!"

đź Rules and Regulations
- Format: up to 16 person Battle Royale Race (Best of 1 Race with 3 heats for Round 1 x 4 Groups and Final Round)
- Maximum Racers: 16
- Team Registration ~~- Team Registration: Teams must register prior to the tournament. Each team must submit a complete roster including up to 4 Racers.~~ Registration is OPEN to independent Racers (One Team Per Community, Please) ~~- Registration Deadline: All team registrations must be completed by September 22nd, 2024, at 11:59 PM UTC.~~ Registration closed at 10:30AM EST on Sept 28th 2024
- Check-In Procedure
- Check-In Time: Teams must check in at least 30 minutes before the start of the tournament.
- Forfeiture: Failure to check in on time will result in the team forfeiting their spot in the tournament. The team will be replaced by a standby team.
- Standby Teams: Standby teams will be on standby to replace any team that does not check in on time. We will inform you if your team is considered "on Standby."
- Player Substitutions
- Alternate Player Usage: Community Teams may designate a new racer prior to the start of Round 1. No substitutions will be made beyond the initial seeding of the tournament.
- Alternate Rules: Once a match has started, alternate players may not be substituted. Any roster changes must be communicated to the tournament organizer before the first round begins.
- Match Rules
- Match Format: Each Racer will be assigned a Group by the Tournament Organizers at Lizard Labs, Each racer is responsible to be ready to race no later than 10 minutes after the officiants call to ready up for that race. Failure to be ready by this time will result in the forfeit of your race slot. Officials may call for a reset of a race should there be an obvious connection issue at the start of a round (heat 1) within the first 30 seconds of a race.
- Game Rules: Players may use any combination of ship build parts as they see fit.
- Tournament Structure
- Bracket System: The tournament will use a Battle Royale bracket system.
- Advancement: The Top Four Racers from each group in Round 1 will advance to the Final Round. All Rounds are Best of 1 Race (3 Heats in each)
- Conduct and Sportsmanship
- Code of Conduct: All participants are expected to adhere to the highest standards of sportsmanship and respect, including agreeing to follow the Player Code of Conduct (see below).
- Disciplinary Actions: Any violations of the tournament rules or code of conduct may result in disqualification or other disciplinary actions at the discretion of the tournament organizers.
- Miscellaneous
- Streaming Requirement: Each Racer is expected to stream their gameplay on Twitch. All Twitch links will be submitted at the time of registration. Your Twitch should be set to share "Ascent: Rivals" as the Game being played, and your Title should be: "Lizard Labs - Ascent: Rivals Grand Prix", and your username should match your In Game Name (IGN), if your IGN differs from your Twitch Username please add it to your Title so we can find you easily.
- Equipment: Teams are responsible for their own equipment unless otherwise specified.
- Updates and Announcements: Any changes to the tournament schedule or rules will be communicated to all teams as soon as possible.

đ Player Code of Conduct
- Connection: Participants are fully responsible for maintaining a stable and reliable internet connection for the entire duration of the event. Adjustments to a playerâs official points will not be made, except in the rare case of a confirmed and documented official tournament server malfunction by the game developers.
- Cheating: Engaging in dishonest or unfair practices to gain a competitive advantage is strictly prohibited. This includes deceptive actions, accepting bribes, manipulating match outcomes, and exploiting in-game glitches.
- Harassment and Offensive Behavior: Any form of verbal or written harassment is unacceptable, including across all communication channels. Participants violating this policy risk disqualification and may forfeit any prizes or tournament placements.
- Authority to Remove Participants: Participants must uphold fair play and sportsmanship. The team reserves the right to eject or ban any participant or team deemed to be misbehaving or violating the rules.
- Special Circumstances: We reserve the right to modify, revise, add, or entirely rephrase any and all rules at our discretion, to ensure the fairness and smooth operation of the event.
- Player Payment: All monetary or digital rewards will be processed and disbursed to the winning players within 7 to 30 days after the Tournament End Date. $LIZ Prizes will be allocated to winning participants for claim after TGE. Participants must provide accurate identification and payment information to facilitate smooth transactions.
