Immutable and Polygon team up for $100m Web3 gaming fund

Immutable and Polygon Labs have joined forces to establish a $100 million fund called the Inevitable Games Fund (IGF), aimed at catalyzing innovation in Web3 gaming. Alongside US-based venture capitalist firm King River Capital, this collaboration by Immutable and Polygon seeks to support early-stage startups in the blockchain gaming space, fostering growth and development in this emerging sector.

A recent gameplay presentation has provided fans with a detailed look at DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO, the latest 3D fighter from Bandai Namco inspired by the beloved anime series. The game features a familiar third-person camera system, reminiscent of previous titles in the Budokai Tenkaichi series, but introduces several new mechanics to shake up the fighting gameplay. Sony announced as an Esports World Cup founding partner

Sony has been announced as a founding partner for the inaugural Esports World Cup (EWC) in Saudi Arabia, solidifying a multi-year agreement with the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF). Sony Pictures Entertainment will create a documentary series showcasing players and games, while Sony Music Entertainment will produce the tournament's anthem. The EWC, with the backing of Sony, aims to set new standards in live esports events and elevate the gaming experience globally.
